1991 Slides from the scanner

Wow, a film scanner is sooooo nice. I just spend the entire evening scanning five diapositive slides from 1991, fourteen years ago. I’m amazed by the picture quality.

Three of the scans were made from the window of a moving train, crossing the Maas river in Rotterdam on the old bridge. That bridge has long been replaced with a tunnel underneath the Maas. Pity that you can no longer see that wonderful view of Rotterdam. Anyway, the long exposure on a moving train on a wobbly bridge with lots of steel bars passing by, creates this dramatic view of the Willemsbrug The exposure is just right, I think. Which is pure luck. Obviously.

The two other slides were made in the woods nearby my parents home. They show beautiful autumn colour. The larch treetops need some colour retouching, still.
